- 2 Ahi tuna steaks (sushi-grade)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (or olive oil)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: sesame seeds, soy sauce for serving
Instructions
- Pat tuna steaks dry with a paper towel.
- Season with salt, pepper, and optional sesame seeds.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add tuna steaks and sear for 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Remove from heat, rest for a minute, and slice.
Notes
- For rare or medium-rare, cook until the internal temperature is around 120°F to 130°F.
- Serve with a citrus glaze or dipping sauce for extra flavor.
